“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. “Great, cosy inn with plenty of space to eat. Family room had a good layout with some nice touches such as fresh milk for the tea and coffee. Staff very helpful and plenty of parking”

“We booked the room thinking we had access to the spa as all photos showed it, but when we got there we didn’t have access to most spa areas, which were a premium service on top of the room cost (over £250/night). The room was spacious but it’s old fashioned and didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. Disappointing.”

“Muy caro para lo que es, no es un 4 estrellas como indican, habitaciones sin aire acondicionado y el servicio de restaurantes normal, los hoteles en Southhampton todos sin excepción están sobre valorados precios mas caros que Londres, se aprovechan de la necesidad de los pasajeros que van a los cruceros y tienen que hacer noche en la ciudad”

“Good proximity to Brockenhurst and Lynhurst. Leisure facilities and gardens are very good and staff are helpful. However the hotel rooms needs updating and refurbishing. The restaurant food in the evening is very mediocre eg oven cooked fish and chips. The staff obliged us in changing rooms as above was a very noisy corridor or guest ?? however we were changed to an equally noisy room over kitchen by reception staff. For these reasons we would not return.”
