“This is a very old Inn with oak beams and uneven floors. The facilities were good however the room was unbearably hot. Even though we had 2 fans on we were just covered in sweat as soon as we came out of the shower. It was impossible to sleep.”

“The room was fine. It was a little noisy in the early evening, as it overlooked the garden, but it was perfectly quiet later on. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant, but it felt that they were somehow lacking in leadership.”

“Friendly reception and service. Room was non-smoking but one could notice it had been smoking before, every time at entering the room. Comfortable bed. It's clear the bathroom had been renovated, but why wasn't at least one hook installed to hang towel and/or clothes? Very frustrating, moreover as the (gliding) door wasn't of any help here either.”

“The food was very good and staff great. Grace was a wonderful server. The inn is certainly olde and genuine. Not a pretend olde . Rooms are very unusual with individual names. All are separate from the pub. Obviously the pub is the main venue for the local population. The room was modest size but had two TVs. The shower floods the bathroom. Not a big deal.”

“Plenty of parking, friendly staff, Very clean. Limited menu but excellent quality. Let down by peeling paintwork on exterior giving a neglected appearance. Would benefit from a fridge in the bedroom”

“Parking was good and it’s a really nice little village, the accommodation was fairly clean but tired, the same can be said of the bar and restaurant areas. Not much chance of getting any sleep before about 11.30 pm due to drinkers in the outside area being very noisy. For the price it is okay.”
