There are some run-down areas, but you find that everywhere. The motel is located a little away from the worse areas, and I felt safe there. Driving was easily negotiable and I felt perfectly safe driving alone to get to the hospital.
Just came in for the game.
will get a deferent hotel next time.
The casino property is safe, clean, and patrolled. The surrounding area is a depressed, run down, unsafe looking slum. Easy to go across the river via metro, car, or shuttle to Busch Stadium, or other attractions.
