“Mixed feelings. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, as I would have expected for £220. On the downside however the room was unbearably hot with no AC. We were given a fan but this just circulated warm air about. A very poor nights sleep. Ironic as the receptionist had a nice cool environment to work in. And it would have been nice to have been told about the exterior renovations to manage our expectations of our view. See images. When we arrived we were handed the key...

“We’ve had a lovely stay with Raincliffe. Very welcoming hosts, happy to chat and share useful information. We had a really comfortable stay in a lovely room, with a much needed fan! Excellent coffee and breakfast. Would highly recommend. We booked a concert at the Open Air Theatre and walked there and back. Thank you for hosting, we had a great weekend.”

“We really enjoyed our one night stay in Rowntree Lodge The room was large and airy with a very comfortable bed The staff were very friendly and welcoming Parking was on street but easy to find space. Would definitely recommend this hotel”
