“It was immaculate and in an ideal location for me. The room was lovely and spacious with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were friendly and approachable and the car is secure, Nothing to fault.”

“Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”

“The greeting we got on arrival was extremely good, lovely lady who runs The Troutbeck Inn.
Great evening meal also, definitely stay again.

“Easy to find near Dumfries and a nice break into Scotland at the start of our journey. Room was clean and comfortable, and we had the one nearest the ramp so didn't have to climb steps. Room was a bit dark, but easy to move around in, and had sufficient power outlets so we could charge our phones without a problem.
Dinner was very good and the owner introduced me to a new ale that i hadn't tried before... great recommendation!
We also found out he was the local postmaster, and let us confirm...
