“BEWARE!!!!!! 3 hours before my check-in time, I contacted the host for check-in instructions (it's an apartment, not a hotel with reception). The person told me that the apartment wasn't available but said they will help me find accommodation and urged me to get refund from Expedia as the new place wanted cash. “We loved our stay at Sol de Arena! The location just a short distance from Las Terrenas is perfect, as it's a little quieter. The pool and location right on the beach are fantastic. It felt very safe, and we loved the many restaurants and bars in the area. The company running the resort is fantastic - they'll help with free towel swaps and tips for activities. They even came by at 11 pm when I couldn't get the TV to work. We'll definitely be back!”
