Vacations Close To Down House

The hotel was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful & polite . The room was clean & very comfortable. The location was perfect . Would highly recommended.

There is a square in front of the hotel where many homeless congregate. The night I was walking back into the hotel a homeless person threw a glass bottle to hit another homeless person, and it shattered right near me on the walkway up to the hotel door. It was scary. The hotel itself gets high points. It has a lovely coffee bar that serves coffee throughout the day. They also serve breakfast, it’s quite good. The rooms are clean and quiet. Also on the larger side for London. The staff is either very helpful or not so helpful. They say the mini bar is complimentary and refilled every day. It wasn’t, it’s really just water, milk, a coke and a bag of popcorn. The water wasn’t replaced and I inquired about it at the front desk. She said she would take care of it, only to go to my room and it still hadn’t been replaced. Later that day it was replaced. The location is perfect, a lot is in walking distance. I have and would stay there again but I will have to rethink staying there based on the homeless situation.

There was a deposit to be taken upon arrival which we were not made aware of when booking. The room was so small for the amount you pay, and we stayed two nights. The tv did not even have Netflix or anything, which one would expect when paying so much and in such a modern hotel. Good thing we took our PlayStation and connected it. Clean and modern, however, definitely would not stay again even if it were much cheaper and closer to everything.
