"Beautiful, historic area with colonial history. The town is poor and you will see poverty and disrepair, but you’ll also meet very nice locals. The immense lake in town is rather dirty, but there’s an interesting basalt rock waterfall nearby, too. Nice tourist shopping in the square as well. The hotel is beautifully curated, the amenities and toiletries are very nice, and the a/c is cold enough for this very warm tropical area.
