"Overnight stay during longer trip, overall good. Location is very central, interesting building that used to be a monastery and a hospital. Good breakfast, the only thing is that they do not have a coffee machine. Parking is challenging, when you come to the front you find that you need drive around the city to get to the parking in the back. During the checkin no details provided unless you ask. No kettle/tea/coffee in room. Considering the location, more attentive service could make this...

"First time at a Pousada, though have stayed in Paradores in Spain. This is a very comfortable sprawling historic hotel with absolutely top-notch and genuinely friendly service, especially at meal times. Excellent food and lots of space inside the room and in common areas. The view over the city is lovely. Visitors need to know that it’s a pretty quick trip to the town and surrounding areas, but by no means a short walk. That makes this Pousada feel like a welcome getaway."

"The Hotel Suave Mar was a pleasant stop walking the Portuguese Camino. The room was clean and the bed is comfortable. In addotion, the included buffet breakfast was excellent."
