"Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht...

"I really liked that there was everything you could need to be comfortable. You can tell there is someone considerate behind the administration. There was abundant drinking water, teas and coffee, water boiler, cups, etc in the common area. In the bathroom, shower cap, soap, and other amenities, enough towels for all the guests (this is not always the case). The family room was great with two rooms and ac in each one. Wifi worked well and the owner is super nice. Breakfast was simple but...

"Big disappointment for our large group of maybe 15 rooms. Check in was needlessly chaotic. That held for almost all the separate parties. Our room was ok. Others had problems ranging from no AC to mold smell."

"The room was very clean and walkable around Matera. They also allow luggage storage for free before checkin which was much appreciated to drop off and explore in the meantime. I would stay again!"

"Loved this property. Saverio the owner was so nice and helped us book tour and taxis. There are a few steps to climb but Saverio does the luggage. Breakfast area had the best view. Room was so spacious."
