We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the spa was clean, relaxing, and a perfect place to unwind. The location was also excellent. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This stunning cave hotel with its spa facilities was a unique experience and we shall both remember this place for a long time! Its location was excellent allowing us to explore the wonders of Matera and we loved relaxing in the spa We found an amazing restaurant called Amoro in the main square which was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The food and service were excellent. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful also. I would recommend staying here ! Thank you Matera !

This hotel was definitely a splurge for us but I highly recommend it. Very well located near restaurants, the duomo, and other shopping areas. Staff were fantastic and the free spa access (60 mins) that comes with booking is excellent. Although they don't have parking on site, there is a paid parking lot a 5 min walk away for approx 10 Euros per day. The hotel provided that information and were extremely helpful. Our room featured a cave room and walls and was so well maintained. Highly recommend staying here!

This hotel is spectacular. Such an awesome experience. Everyone was incredibly helpful, the location is great. A shuttle drove us from the car park and picked us up. The room was excellent, we were upgraded to a deluxe suite which was amazing. The only comment I have is that there was no door between the toilet and the bed. Thankfully we had this cool little tunnel to a room in the cave with some chairs where one of us would wait if the other needed to ‘go’. I would absolutely stay again the hotel is part of an amazing matera experience

The staff and food were excellent. Air conditioning does not work well. We had to change rooms but air temperature in the room was always above 23.5 degrees Celsius. Very uncomfortable, specially at night. Don’t book during the summer, specially August. They gave us the run around regarding the AC because they know it doesnt go below 23.5. Otherwise it is a wonderful and beautiful hotel

Simply amazing! The whole staff was effective while very friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the staff helped us make my mom’s 80th bday celebration super special! The spa was equally amazing and the massage was one of the best I’ve had! I’d definitely stay there again!

This was a special place to stay. it was in the middle of everything, so when you were walking around the town, you were halfway to everything. We got great recommendations from the staff for places to eat and we went to a wonderful pizza place around the corner. The breakfast was very good, and the room was really nice as well. We loved the spa so much. It was a one-of-a-kind experience. To top it all off, the rate was very reasonable! I would love to come back here.

I liked staying in the Cave. Room was lovely. Welcoming was great! Location is great for exploring the Sassi. Breakfast was fine and Spa was a good addition especially when it’s super hot outside. One downfall is the air conditioning does not work for the size of the room. The first night our room was at 26 degrees. We couldn’t sleep. We had to call reception 4 times and the lady who was on was so rude and unhelpful. The next day we asked for a fan so it made it bearable to sleep. If the lady at the reception had of done this the first night the rating would have been higher for trying to help us. Most of the staff were lovely it was just the one at reception the first night who tried to gaslight us by saying the temp was 17 degrees. Overall it’s a luxury hotel and the price matches that. The one thing you need for people to sleep is a working air conditioning system. Which means installing one that is the adequate size to cool down a room. There isn’t any excuse other than they have not wanted to spend the money on installing proper aircon. If the aircon worked it would be a higher rating for us but since we book a hotel to sleep and couldn’t the first night we have to mark it down.
