"I had a very enjoyable stay at Arthur & Paul in February 2025. Check-in was simple and straightforward, and my luggage was carried to my room. The room was very comfortable and clean and I enjoyed using the outdoor balcony. The included sauna and steam room are a fun place to relax in the evening. "The hotel is a bit dated and could use a refresh. It was not very busy so noise was not an issue. Our room was spacious and facing the river. The spa area was not as comfortable as hoped. Breakfast was minimal and lunch OK. Location is about a 20 minute walk to the bars in town. "

"Great location next door to Dotnbori. Not the newest hotel but it’s kept up well. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest if you are a westerner with runny eggs and boiled meats, but that’s common in Japan. Price was great considering the area it’s in. "

"The villa wat damnak has closed, but they’re now running out of the wat damnak residence across the street. That was confusing but not a big issue. Unfortunately the bathroom was pretty yucky, but the staff was extremely nice and helpful."
