“Overall an excellent location, staff and facilities. The grounds and gardens are large and very well kept. Only minor items to address are that it took some time for breakfast orders to be taken so had to wait a long time and result in toast and tea getting cold. Pool area could do with a little more lighting as it felt very dull.”

“Super warm welcome from the host, whom we really enjoyed meeting. She was very helpful in finding restaurants, activities, etc. The room was very large and comfortable, we really felt at home.”

“Our room was large and nicely decorated. However, our room had a strong damp smell I believe partly from the bathroom. I know that property was old but neither of the windows in the bathroom opened and their wooden plank sealing the fireplace looked a little damp and dusty.”

“The bar & outside area was really good. Lovely beer garden. Staff were very friendly. We did not have breakfast but Dinner menu had a good selection of very tasty food.”

“Beautiful room with lots of lovely touches including the cookies and the cafeteria coffee. The choice of breakfast was really good and the coffee was great. The staff were attentive and very welcoming and gave us good suggestions of where to go and where was good to eat. A very special place we hope to go back soon. H”

“Staff really friendly Decorated very nicely but not that practical for a long stay Food ok Bit noisy with dogs in the room above and our room above pub door entrance Woke up at 7:15AM to maintenance on a cherry picker repairing external light Unfortunate drain stale water smell in ensuite”

“Good staff service. Room and bathroom very modern and clean, bed was comfortable and had a great sleep. Breakfast was good quality lovely fresh fruit. Great location and very friendly staff.”
