“Driving up to the hotel, it looked disappintingly like a low end budget hotel....i see now why the first image on expedia was of the attached Carriages Restaurant. On this particular visit, the land close by was being developed... cant hear anything, but the view from the room looked out towards the construction site. Carpet along the hallways was dated. Room itself was good but more attention needs to be paid to dusting.. there were threads of spider web in the coffee cups.. Air...

“The hotels in a great location the people who work there couldn’t have been more helpful and they had a wonderful morning breakfast. Torquay is a very nice town and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the hotel again.”

“Parking is limited and prebookable at £10 a night, but there is plenty of free street parking in the area. We had a nice sea view on the 3rd floor, but unfortunately the lift only goes up to the 2nd floor. The room was compact but clean and comfortable with a nice big walk in shower. The breakfast is a buffet and was included in the price we paid. It was edible but the bacon was stuck together so some wasn’t cooked properly and the eggs were a little rubbery. Also the toaster was very much hit...

“The whole of the place said disaster to us. The staff were very rude. They also didn’t even give a smile. The cleaning of the room was absolutely terrible. The inside of the cupboards where you put your clothes were all drips of coffee the pigeons you couldn’t open the window as they were just sat outside watching when we asked for help nobody seemed to have a clue what was going on. I am totally disappointed in the whole of the hotel itself. The pigeons were eaten off the table in the bistro....
