“Arrived early as attending a wedding at the venue. To be told there was a £20 charge to allow access to the room even though it was already available. This had not been mentioned in any previous correspondence or calls. The room was average at best and the hotel was very badly signed. The only directions given for the room was turn right at the end of the corridor, no mention of multiple flights of stairs or changes in direction to eventually find the room at the back end of nowhere. “Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey.”

“Very clean and great staff. The breakfast was lovely. Nice to find out that the meat from the brasserie is all halal, which meant I had a steak on our second night. Also the ravioli dish was wonderful too. Loved the food. The spa facilities are fantastic and not busy. Other guests were perfectly pleasant, didn't experience any issues considering we were the only non-white couple there and my wife dresses modestly. “Nice location, but VERY outdated. Stayed Friday to Monday, 1st 2 nights loud groups (Golfers) outside the building and through the hallways from 11pm to 3am both nights having a good time but got to the point where staff should of stepped in. Sunday Night was great very peaceful. Food was really good quality in the evenings but a very small choice, so wanted something different the next couple of nights so went else where.
