“Arrived early as attending a wedding at the venue. To be told there was a £20 charge to allow access to the room even though it was already available. This had not been mentioned in any previous correspondence or calls. The room was average at best and the hotel was very badly signed. The only directions given for the room was turn right at the end of the corridor, no mention of multiple flights of stairs or changes in direction to eventually find the room at the back end of nowhere. “Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Overall good stay apart from mattress too soft, room was very hot and a fan had been provided which was no way near adequate. Complimentary bottled water in room would have been nice. Good buffet breakfast, everything you needed. Have an electric car. Website doesn’t say anywhere to bring your own charging cable to charge car. Have never had this issue before.”

“Both myself and my partner were really disappointed with our stay. The shower was freezing, for an expensive hotel I expected to have hot water. The floor of the shower was cracked in two places. The room was unbearably hot with the air con not working. Again for how much we paid I wish we had just stayed in the travel lodge up the road.”

“Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey.”
