“What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The room was quite basic and a little dated, but it had the essentials, including a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, and towels. “The place is beautiful with furniture and decor to reflect older time periods. The bedding smelt fresh. The TV worked perfectly in a little cupboard. It had a very homely feeling. The room was a nice size. The shower lip had some mould on it and the room smelt very musty when we initially went in. I would recommend opening some windows during the day to air it out - it was fine once the windows were open. Staff were really helpful. The room was nice and cool, despite the warm weather.”
