We were not impressed with our stay at Paradise Point, especially for the price. This resort is extremely overpriced for the condition it’s in. The room was old, outdated, and didn’t feel clean. There were stains on the curtains, the TV speaker glitched, the air conditioning was inconsistent, and the mattress was so worn out that I could feel the springs. Housekeeping did the bare minimum. It didn’t seem like the floors had even been swept. There were ants on the floor. Your “private” patio is not private at all. If you stay in a bayside suite, you have fewer opportunities for privacy as the public takes over the beach in front of your room. The resort grounds were maintained but needed more detail as the pond was full of debris. It didn’t feel like a luxury resort as indicated on their website. The pool towels smelled like mildew, and the drinks at the pool were outrageously expensive. Resort prices are one thing, but these were excessive. Are we in Hawaii? Beware of location if you don’t have a car. There’s only 2 restaurants on property, both being sub par. Decent restaurants were 10-15 minute drive. For what we paid, we expected clean and updated rooms. Instead, we got an outdated room, poor housekeeping, neglected ponds, and an overall experience that wasn’t worth the cost. We won’t be staying here again and would not recommend Paradise Point unless major improvements are made.

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing due to multiple issues throughout the property. There were several large events taking place during our stay, and the lawn and common areas consistently smelled like a bar or fraternity house due to the amount of alcohol being consumed. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable using many of the hotel amenities, including the pool. At night, wedding guests continued partying in their rooms well into the early morning hours. The hotel felt more like a college dorm or apartment complex than a resort, with people partying at all hours. Security was unable to get the situation under control, and eventually the police were called. The following day, we were horrified to see that a member of one of the wedding parties was taken away by ambulance under what appeared to be very serious circumstances. We ultimately asked to move rooms. Unfortunately, we were moved from our suite into a smaller standard room. The air conditioning in our original suite also did not work properly, and we slept terribly the first night. The front desk appeared significantly understaffed. Nearly every time we needed assistance, there was a line and a considerable wait. The standard room we were moved to on the marina side was also disappointing. It felt dated and run down, and the bathroom felt grungy and not particularly clean. We stayed for five nights and paid approximately $3,000, and the experience was absolutely not worth what we paid.

Solid place, although the shower was inoperable due to a construction issue. Overall it was good, but for the price it should be excellent. We probably won’t be back.
