Arlene was a perfect host, very knowledgeable about the area for what to see and where to eat. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our room was perfect, with lots of room, a balcony and a comfortable bed (Mountain View Room). Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, including great conversation with Arlene and the other guests. We will be back!

This place was definately inviting upon arrival bit the bed was a bit hard, the room was a bit warm for sleeping comfortably and could've used some updating/ cleaning. The price was a bit high for the lack of comfort and cleanliness. On the positive side, the host was pleasant and friendly and served a great breakfast.

This is a very unique stay. If your into history, stories, intelligent conversation and delightful filling breakfasts, then this your place. It is historical. Some cool things are listening to a Victorola at breakfast, talking with a local host, and looking at all the collected history on the walls.

Historic home w/attentive innkeeper. However, numerous homeless people in neighborhood, boarded up houses nearby, pancake flat pillows made sleeping truly a challenge & very minimal room for suitcases due to knicknacks. Convenient to Garden of the Gods & Pikes Peak.

There were many things to like about this property: it has a great location, it's beautiful, it was quiet, and the breakfast was very tasty. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the hostess insists on joining breakfast and dominating the conversation. I'm not sorry we went, but we won't be back.
