Charming traditional style hotel in the heart of Colmar, close to little venice. My single room was charming, in the top floor of the building with a restricted view of Little Venice. The staff were very helpful and professional. Being on the top floor, my room was accessable by a flight of steps. That was fine for me, but may not suit older or less mobile travellers. But most rooms can be accessed via the elevator.

Staff was extremely helpful from getting our luggage up to our room rather than via a two person elevator. VERY OLD building with lots of stairs. Rooms are not necessarily on a level floor with the elevator floor you select. The staff changed our room to minimize the steps that my cane walking wife would need to us. The breakfast staff was marvelous as well. A delightful old charming hotel to stay in. Would do it again.

Staff is amazingly friendly. The on-site restaurant features award-winning chefs and a great breakfast buffet featuring local foods. We had an apartment off to the side of the main building and other than having 3 doors to lock and unlock, everything else about it was fantastic!

In the heart of Little Venice and very walkable to restaurants, museums and parking. The half-timbered hotel is quaint with unique hallways and rooms including beamed and sloped ceilings. On the third floor, our particular bathroom was a bit difficult to navigate with a sloped, beamed ceiling and only an open garden with handheld shower wand. It made for interesting mornings when getting ready for the day. I suggest asking about shower/tub facilities in the room you may choose. Although breakfast was very good we were disappointed in the one evening meal we had at the hotel restaurant. It seemed service was dysfunctional at best.
