The town itself compared to Strasbourg, in my opinion, is a let down. Going out to the smaller villages in the country and wine route was great. In the city, however there were not much to do or see.

Colmar was beautiful! It has beautiful old buildings and the old city is so pretty at night with the Christmas decorations. The Mercure has a helpful and friendly staff. They were wonderful!
