“A bit unusual checking in at the nearby restaurant, as we arrived fairly late, it was lucky the restaurant was still open but no problems the bar staff were very helpful and quick to issue the key cards. Room was quiet, didnt hear any other guests, although there was some noise (motorbikes) from the road outside at about 11 pm. Parking was plentiful but disappointing the EV charging station was not working, had to find charging elsewhere Morrisons.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. “It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

“The hotel is extremely well situated right on the front and close to the pier. It is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance, leading to some unwelcome building noise and obstructions. There were a number of issues with our room, including a shower which would not drain properly, and dodgy wifi, leading also to problems with the TV.
