This was a breath of fresh air for a stay at an IHG hotel. The Avid was clean and well appointed for our stay. The price was much below other hotels offering nearly the same amenities. The manager Clinton made a point to ask if we were having a good stay and if there was anything they could improve, he even listened to our comments about the IHG website and other IHG locations we had stayed at. Clinton is an asset to the hotel and would do well as an IHG executive truly motivated to improve the brand.

The breakfast was simple, but filling. There were nice options of hot food (eggs, bacon or sausage alternating days) and oatmeal. Cold food included bagels, bread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and a variety of toppings. The staff was always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Two front desk clerks were especially helpful. One was Zak. I don't recall the person's name.

For a more affordable option, this is a great choice, very clean and a little minimalist. You have a mini fridge in the room but you do need to use the microwave in the lobby breakfast area. Other than that it’s awesome! Great breakfast too!

Everything was wonderful except the shower. The water pressure to bathe was no more than a trickle of water coming out of the shower handle. I loved the coffee machine that dispensed freshly ground coffee beans into a delicious cup of Joe. The breakfast was healthy, however, the server said the truck didn't make a delivery so no yogurt, no potatoes, no fresh milk. Turkey sausage was all there was and a few scrambled eggs. Not impressed with the food.
