“On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us. “The price was very reasonable for a 4 star property but it certainly did not feel 4 star as the property was very tired and in need of a refresh and update. Also disappointing that the wifi did not reach our room. However the staff were attentive and friendly and the location perfect for the seafront”

“Large clean room with sofa bed and a double bed. Small fridge and hairdryer. Large bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Shower floods bathroom everytime due to not having a door/screen to floor meaning you have to use 3 towels on floor to stop this, bad design in my opinion. Breakfast was your normal buffet restaurant, nit a lot of gluten free options avaliable, asked for some gluten free bread and was handed one small slice. “We stayed at The Imperial for a week and overall had a very good stay, with a few caveats. We originally booked a cosy room, but it was very small, stuffy, had no AC, and the sea-view balcony could not be opened due to renovation safety restrictions. For one night it might have been manageable, but not for a week. Reception handled it very well: within about 10 min they moved us to a much larger room. Very very hot fan was supplied but did absolutely nothing (it was the hottest few days) Only one window could open and that was a maximum of 3 inches We will book again but study the facilities much closer . Slightly misleading when you read the descriptions where it says "hotel apartments" Staff were very friendly and cheerful”
