Vacations Close To Chula Vista Bayside Park

We did not have a pleasant experience with this hotel. We stayed 4 nights and had to move rooms 3 times (should have moved again for the last one). The first room started leaking water from the light fixture above the bed. We had to move rooms (turns out they had an A/C issue that required a repair person). The next room was half the size and next to the noisy intersection. We moved again to a much quieter room. We should have moved again because the cold water did not work. You could get cold ish water for a couple of minutes then it went as hot as any hot water. The hotel did not offer any refunds or “break” in the price for all the problems. I would not really recommend this place. The upkeep could use some serious considerations and work.

Had a great stay here for a few nights. The vibe of the property is very cool. It’s almost like a speakeasy as the front is a bit unassuming but it goes to the hotel’s charm. A literal hidden gem. Rooms are clean and stay quiet but should note the closeness to the airport. It’s not overbearing but you’ll hear planes landing and taking off. Speaking of proximity, the location teeters on the residential side. It’s perfect if you’re driving but be ready to walk for a while if you don’t use a ride service. It’s a great place to stay overall. The staff is chill. Sunset looks great from the roof!

I suggest that they get blackout curtains. There is a lot of light that comes in the room making it very hard to sleep. Additionally, it is a bit noisy on the first floor.

Just a ten minute walk away from Gaslamp! I loved it. It is open gated, so anyone can just walk thru.. but I personally didnt feel it was dangerous.
