Vacations Close To White Water Canyon

The resort is amazing! We loved it from the pools, to the gym, and on site market store. We stayed a full week and live the one bedroom we booked. The only downside is the location. We had to drive approximately 40-50 minutes to get to the San Diego area where we really wanted to be. Others than that it is a wonderful property to do a staycation if you don’t plan to go anywhere offsite.

Location was good for exploration

We traveled with two kids under 5, and had a beach front bungalow. It was easy access, parking right next to our room. For families, this is a fantastic resort with pools and beaches. We even had our two dogs who enjoyed walks all day. The only complaint I have is that the property can use a little TLC. Everything is outdated. No windows open, so if you shut off the AC, the rooms smell due to humidity and poor circulation. TVs are not updated, so no smart features. You can only watch what is on TV. We use kids apps/shows for the kids because they're awake at 5am, and we don't feel like rushing out of the room for activities and making noise. Family visited us and we were able to picnic in front of our room/beach...it was wonderful. Not enough restaurant options on the property, so I'm thankful I had packed my rice cooker and toaster to make meals for my family.

It had been a little while since it we used last and had a musty smell, but nothing 30 mins of A/C and open doors couldn’t solve… then the price is right— go to hotel in Del Mar!

Gorgeous resort!

Great place to stay. Pool was amazing. Excellent location. Very clean. Walking distance to the ocean and many great locations. Saturday farmers market was my favorite and it's a block away. I'm not a huge fan of Stainless steel cookware as you need chef skills:) but we figured it out. Only issue was figuring out parking location and cost. It's about $25 per day.

Room was really nice and clean, with a large outdoor patio (we were in a garden room). However, it was really loud at night with people moving around on the floors above us. A lot of loud thudding noises, not sure if it was people closing doors or what. The pool and beach are nice, but some of the pool loungers are all ripped up. You also have to pay additional for beach chairs. With the amount you are paying to stay, I would expect this to be included. Overall, we had a nice stay, but you could easily stay somewhere less expensive and still take advantage of many of the hotel amenities. For example, the beach chair rental is only $10 more for non hotel guests. Parking was also very expensive,
