“Todo excelente”

“We were looking for an overnight stop travelling back North from Southampton and came across here. There was a big extension being built to the front of the pub so parking was difficult but otherwise caused no inconvenience. We had 3 rooms and all were very comfortable and well equipped . What stood out about this place was the staff, all were genuinely lovely and friendly. Checked in and personally shown to our rooms. We ate at the pub and the food was quickly served and was simply delicious...

“The Railway Inn is a small hotel, over a pub that closes reasonably early and literally next to the train lines. The barkeep is also the hotel staff and the breakfast cook. She is terrific and lively. My room was on the second floor - spacious with two excellent twin beds, comfortable bedding and kettle, cookies, etc. They would like entry by 22.00 which I did not see in the ad, so I arrived later and she directed me to reach my room, which she had left open. The breakfast is cooked to order...

“Excellent size room, enormous comfortable bed with quality bedding. Good size ensuite with waterfall shower and bath, plenty of hot water and lovely complimentary toiletries. Central location within walking distance of various eating establishments, café,pubs and the Chilterns. Friendly , polite and welcoming staff. Limited on site parking.”

“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“One of the most unique and amazing places we've ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the restaurant was amazing and our room was stunning. We only stayed 1 night, but would have loved to have stayed longer. We can't wait to return”
