Vacations Close To Chicago Street Theatre

The views are nice. The room is more simple. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. Definitely just 3.5-4*. The late night snack area is a nice feature though.

Everything was OK but didn't have access to the balcony which was the main reason I choose this room.That was a majorl spoiler alert

Customer service was on point, the room was clean, the view from my room was amazing!

The room is cleaned only every other day which isn’t terrible but something to know. Otherwise very clean and the valet was quick with our car. Only problem we had has nothing to do with the hotel but Uber. Od not find the hotel correctly by either putting in the address or the name of the hotel or even the restaurant in the hotel. It took us almost 10 blocks away to drop us in the middle of Grant Park. The whole weekend never got corrected. So we had to be picked up and dropped off at a restaurant across the street from the hotel. Very strange.

First, the front desk staff was friendly, energetic and positive. They actively helped everyone I saw (including me) who tried unsuccessfully to check in using the self-service kiosks, and quickly processed check-ins. My room was clean but VERY dated - old furnishings, cracked picture frames. Not what I expected from a 4 star rated hotel on Expedia. After check in I had to quickly shower to make my birthday dinner reservation after a full day of helping my son move apartments. The shower water was scalding or freezing (no temp in between) so I managed to shampoo and wash with cold water to get out the door. The staff cheerfully assigned me a new room when I returned. That one was completely different --more updated but as sparse as a college dorm. Old plumbing hardware, worn sofa that I didn't even want to sit on. The rooms were not close to what was represented on Expedia's site (or in a 4-star rating), and although I paid for two nights, I checked out after one because the accommodations were ruining my trip. If Expedia billed this as a clean, friendly, budget hotel that was 2 or 3 stars, it would have been at expectations, but there is no way a good location and nice sheets can make up for the outdated accommodations here.
