Chicago's Best Secret !!!!
Great Place. Victorian with antiques and wonderful wood built-ins. Goumet breakfast on fine old china. Very pleasant experience.

House of Two Urns a disappointment
Staff was brisk and unfriendly. The addition of a shower is needed for upstairs guests.

Wonderful Stay at House Of Two Urns
It was my first experience with a Bed & Breakfast, so I was uncertain what to expect. Kapra the co-owner/host of The House of two urns was very nice and informative. The breakfast offered to us was divine. The room we occupied (Chamber De Amis) was wonderful and cozy. Best of all it was centrally located from all the main attractions Chicago has to offer. For being the first B&B experience I would only say that I hope my future B&Bs are as lovely as this one was. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay in Chicago for a few days.

I love B&B's, but this one exceeded my expectations! The room was small but very comfortable, the shared sitting room very cozy, and every possible need is anticipated. The breakfasts, oh my!! I will return to 2urns whenever I am in Chicago, even if it means driving a bit!

Very dissapointed
I booked the 3 bedroom 2 bath private apartment for 5 nights. The first night I was directed to the annex apartment (downstairs apartment) and was quite pleased with it. VERY clean, well equipped, comfortable, I couldn't have been more happy. The problem was we were moved for nights 2 through 5 to the upstairs apartment. This is where the whole trip went bad. The upstairs apt is not as clean and is smaller and laid out very strange. Further, it has the worst smell you could imagine. It smells like the sewage system or septic is backed up and the entire apartment reeks. Unlike downstairs, the 1 bathroom is no larger than a closet. Everything is very old and in need of repair. It felt dirty. The shame is that downstairs is completely updated with jacuzzi tubs and well appointed rooms. The upstairs is a joke. I paid for 3bdr and 2 baths and the host informed us that it was double booked for the remaining nights. Further, she proceeded to blame this site as well as other travel sites for booking problems. They seemed to blame everyone other than themselves.
