I have stayed at the Mercure several times this year and find it absolutely lovely..Good clean rooms, Stella Breakfast and very efficient and good natured staff. Spa is rather busy with swimming lessons in the day but peaceful after 7.30pm I would rate the hotel 5 star except that the bar food is poor. Overpriced, meagre standard and quality.. so bring your own sandwiches but certainly sign up for breakfast

The front desk staff were so incredibly friendly, they really made us feel welcome. The room was great, really comfortable bed and the bathroom was amazing! We stayed in the suite and it was worth it! The only thing is that it's a bit run down in places in the room and there was no plugs next to the bed but nothing major, overall had a really pleasant stay!

The stay for us was adequate, we thought it overpriced, the outside didnt look the best upkept however the inside of the hotel was a lot better but does require some decoration. We had an evening meal which was good, the breakfast was very good, the staff were very polite & professional but seemed to be understaffed. All in all a pleasing stay.

This hotel is a little tired. There has been a makeover of sorts to the room. However there was a funky smell through the corridor and room. The pool was nice to have but again showing its age. The hotel was quiet so breakfast suffered from being kept warm under lamps. The Staff were all helpful and friendly. Hence the 3 stars.

Lovely hotel, stayed for 2 nights as 2 adults and 1 toddler. The staff wers pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived. Room was clean and had eveyrhing you need. Had a great one night's stay. Lovely welcome by Muskan. We had a great night's sleep and enjoyed the food. The leisure centre was clean and well equipped. Easy access to Chester. Definitely recommend staying here.
