“I was very happy with my stay. I just feel they need to put a stronger fan in the room, as the rooms are upstairs and has a skylight window, which can't be opened and so the room gets extremely hot in there. The fan they have is not strong enough to keep the room cool, especially on extremely hot days. Otherwise the staff were excellent and the food is simply amazing.”

“Very lovely couple running the Town House! Was greeted by a lovely Lily at the door (their dog)! Would recommend calling them just before you get there as it can be difficult to find a parking space on the road Breakfast was lovely, nice selection of cereals and toast”

“Lovely old millhouse hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. All of the staff were super friendly, really good quality fresh ingredients for breakfast, all for a fabulous price!”

“Approached down the sort of steep, narrow and winding lane that makes urbanites nervous, the hotel has a mercifully spacious carpark. Our room was very comfortable. The restaurant was good, and the waiting staff exceptional. Can't really comment on the local amenities: our short visit coincided with very high winds whipping the sea into massive waves so the beach was dramatic and sadly inhospitable.”

“We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...

“Wasn’t disappointed, booked this as it had good reviews and all I can say is they are all true. Staff are so friendly it was lovely. Room had everything that you could need. We had a room overlooking the car park. (Plenty of free parking for residents) We could hear the road, however, we had the window open as we were very warm and it wasn’t busy overnight. Breakfast was very nice, fresh and plenty of it. We didn’t eat in the evening, however if breakfast is anything to go by we will be on our...

“The breakfast was superb. It was so nice having a breakfast that was individually cooked and delivered to the table hot. The property is old and the floor in my room was at a slight incline. Not a problem at all but I did describe it as being like the house in the film of The Ladykillers - and that is with total affection as I love that film. Ate in the restaurant on one evening - good food and a good price. Would recommend!”
