“There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. “Esta muy apartado del centro. Pero al lado de la estación de St Leonard Warrior. Una zona no muy buena. El hotel es más como una pensión. Aparentemente parece que está bien. Pero luego una vez allí se nota la falta de mantenimiento y personal. La habitación normal. El agua de la ducha sin presión. La cama bien. La tele no funcionaba bien. Tiene un patio muy mono. El desayuno normal. Lo mejor sin duda el recepcionista Francisco, como no, español. Muy caro para lo que es. No repetiría. ”

“The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would stay at The Crown again without hesitation, however as I am disabled there are not enough parking spaces available for disabled guests staying at the hotel. The bays at the front of the hotel (3) were, at most times occupied by non blue badge holders.”

“The property well located. The staff were helpful. Unfortunately the room we were in was not very nice. We booked a superior room. We were allocated what was referred to as a junior suite. Bed and bedding were clean and comfortable but carpets were really dirty and stained as was the small settee and the room didn’t smell good. “Tout était très bien. Le petit déjeuner à 8h30 débute par contre un peu tard, mais il était délicieux.”

“The location was excellent and the building had character. The room size was adequate but the bed was squeaky. Breakfast offered a good range but there was no cereal. Staff were efficient, pleasant and helpful.”
