The hotel is old and very run down, the first room i was given was dirty and smelt so had to move the second room was much better but the door didnt lock properly! The property is just very tired and old and could do with a refresh and a good clean. It is in a great location for the beach and restaurant's. Served it purpose for one night but would not recommend any longer stays.

The hotel is in a great position and the staff are helpful. However, our bedroom was unbelievable hot to the extent it was impossible to sleep. We did have two fans but it made little difference. The outside of the hotel needs work doing to do as it looks shabby. Do not believe it is a good standard for the price we paid.

Only one lift working and it broke down we had to walk up to the 4th floor not good for two people in their late 70's, food was good ,staff pleasant, could be good if they ever get both lifts working ,could do with a good refurbishment, but we enjoyed Eastbourne, so many places to choose to eat in

The hotel reception staff was not helpful and when I reported the tv wasn't working they told me they couldn't help me they had no one there to fix it. The hotel was a bit run down and the lift was not working. The good things was the food and location but I would not stay there again dew to the staff and condition of the hotel.

Although the building needed some TLC, we couldn’t fault the staff. They were friendly and welcoming and ready to assist. The breakfast was good, plenty of it. The hotel was near all the facilities, so all in all a good couple of days.

Firstly one of the lifts was out of action and only left the very small one to use which you cannot get more than 2 people in, hence there was a long wait for it in such a big hotel plus far too small to much luggage in. The front entrance is basically a smoking area for guests which is not ideal at all and should be stopped ! There doesn’t seem to be many staff working here either. The room was quite nice but very warm with no aircon. You have to pay £6 a day to park out the back. Eastbourne has not got much too offer.

Excellent value for money. The outside of the building needs some TLC, but inside everything is fine. I had a nice room, very clean, with a sea view, even though I had not specifically booked a sea view. Staff were friendly and helpful. I did not use the restaurant, but the bar and bar food were very good.
