Vacations Close To Carrizo Plain National Monument

Paying for parking while staying there really sucks. We payed for the room. It should include 1 parking space. And the parking spaces are really SMALL. Not enough room for a full size truck or SUV in most spaces. Sewer leaks all through the garage. Very unsanitary. A disturbing Scraping sound for the elevator doors when opening and closing. Also buttons and lights need to be maintained. The mattress on the sofa/sleeper is NOT made for human comfort. I wouldn't let my dog sleep on it. I probably will not stay there again.

The hotel was amazing. The staff was less than helpful. They seem to expect that a QR code can replace human interaction. I normally expect a greeting along with a short brief on amenities and followed by "if you need anything please let us know". Instead I got. "Scan the QR code." The description of amenities was long and poorly written which required me, more than once to ask for clarification. When I check into a nice hotel after a long day of travel, I simply expect polite, welcoming and helpful. Not, get out your electronic device and figure it out.

Love this hotel..... newly renovated, great location, beautiful rooms, staff is exceptional. Love the bar and restaurant....a little tight and the martinis could be bigger but a class act! Highly recommend!

Immediately greeted when we pulled into the private round about. They helped with our luggage. We had a speedy check in. The hotels smells amazing! My friend literally says omg! Carmen this smells like one of your perfumes! It was delightful. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. We are so happy with our stay, no question we will stay again here.

The rooms were full of dust , smelled the urine and the bedding / pillows smelled . I had to put towels on the beds . my son and husband didn' t even sleep in the room they went and slept on our boat .

Checking in was rough at Hotel Riu The unfriendly clerk asked for my credit card which I didn’t have on me immediately so I went out to where my husband who was in the rental car(just got off a 6 hour flight.)He came in with me and gave his card and it was approved. We both went back to our vehicle after getting our key cards and the male clerk chased behind me and said my card didn’t go through. I ( felt like a criminal)so I followed him back in. He doubled checked and sure enough it hAD gone through! No sorry no waters given like the other patrons. On a good note the breakfast buffet was delightful and clean rooms

Gorgeous resort! Big rooms that are clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make my Birthday special! Landscaping and wildlife make this place feel like you’re in your own oasis. Bay access provides for tons of activities. Definitely planning on coming back

Great location, friendly staff, loved the free parking. Felt safe with my daughter.
