Vacations Close To Cable Beach

The hotel was very clean. The staff constantly cleaning everywhere. The room was a decent size with a large comfortable bed. We had a view of the water and pools. The bathroom had a walk in shower with a rain shower head which was amazing after a day on the beach and in the pool. There is a small wet bar and fridge in room. The Beach was BEAUTIFUL and clean. There were jet ski vendors that set up every day right next to the hotel but do not use them, they are not affiliated with the hotel. The buffet had a decent selection for Breakfast and dinner (we never went for lunch). Room service is available but has a set menu of items you can order. You cannot drink the tap water, but plenty of bottled water is available. The Kulinarium restaurant was delicious. The steakhouse is not worth making the reservation. Trust me on this one, just hit one of the other restaurants or buffet instead. All of the restaurants that require a reservation are set menus but the steakhouse just fell flat on it's face! Over cooked, fatty, no flavor, a single piece of broccoli, a quarter of a piece of corn, wedge French fries and a chunk of tomato. The pools were clean although we did not spend anytime in the swim up bar ( people sit for hours drinking and you never see them leave the pool, you can figure it out). There was one day where toilets wouldn't flush hotel wide for about an hour and we learned that can happen island wide due to plumbing issues. Keep your expectations at a 3 star hotel.

Beautiful hotel. The use of the ‘ private’ beach was exceptional. Most of the staff members were helpful and friendly. The cushions on the lounge by the pool could be better maintained. Overall, enjoyable stay and would recommend.

Property is very central and walking distance to a lot of places but it’s not what it used to be. We used to stay at British Colonial when it was under Hilton and it was Excellent! Very disappointed with the pool area. They didn’t start cleaning the pool until 9am. The pool bar was out of a lot of food items and also drinks. We will not stay at this hotel again.
