Pros: Great location and a very friendly and helpful staff. Cons: The public spaces downstairs are public, noisy and always full of people. Sometimes it was even difficult to reach the room because of the crowd at the hotel's main entrance.

Our room was not ready until 3:15pm, 15 minutes past the contractual check-in time. We had arrived at 9am and requested for to check in early if possible because of evening commitments. I understand it's a busy hotel, but to not be allowed to check in until 15 minutes after the guaranteed time is pathetic. I called at 12pm and they said the room would be ready soon. It was not. No apologies were given. Our AC vent was also clicking on/off all night making it difficult to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything right outside your room. This hotel markets itself up to appear luxurious in the lobby and outside, but once you're in your room it is miserable. $6 for a drip coffee in the morning. Avoid at all costs. You are better off anywhere else.

Loved our large two queen bed 8th floor north tower room, with kitchenette. The staff was great, the room was quiet, comfortable and spotless and the A/c was more than adequate for the temps in 80s to near 90. The KTown location was ideal, next to MidTown but without the crowds and noise of Midtown. Empire State Bldg just a couple of blocks away, walking distance to many things, quick access to buses and subway. Housekeeping was excellent and my daughter particularly appreciated that her stuffed animal was always carefully posed on her bed when we returned at end of day. Lovely little hotel and I would not hesitate to stay again.

Hotel was very nice and very close to all the broadway theaters.

Clean room great location

Our 10th floor room was supposed to be an upgrade, but any evidence of this escapes us. The building is old so there are going to be issues, but having no electrical outlet in view of a mirror anywhere along with huge “water bugs” (big roaches) who crept across the bathroom floor in the middle of the night were serious issues. Additionally, we were locked out of the room twice when our room keys wouldn’t work. The second time this occurred we were told to wait in a very long line behind guests who were checking in (literally at least 20-25 people lined up to register). This is unacceptable when you are paying for a room you cannot access repeatedly. Eventually after polite protest, we were very reluctantly assisted and given one new key card that worked properly for the remainder of our stay. This hotel offers a great location, a nice restaurant, and a park across the street, but the issues experienced with the nasty bugs, unhelpful staff, and no coffee in the room or hotel lobby, made the price paid per night seem far too much when other hotels in the vicinity offer more for the same or less. Lesson learned.
