“We cannot doubt that there was a lovely view from the back of the grounds overlooking the golf course. Unfortunately, it appears that the hotel itself is more of an afterthought to the golf amenities. Rooms are very dated and certainly in need of renovation. Bath robes not included in the room which proved tricky trying to get to the pool and back as you don’t want to put your clothes over a partially wet body that wants to just jump in the shower back in the room. “The hotel needs air conditioning in all bedrooms as the rooms were too hot. There were no fridges in the bedrooms to keep water cold etc which was disappointing as we had to ask for glasses of ice to do this. Staff were exceptional and the spa and swimming pool were really good. A great location on the edge of Dartmoor with access to some great walks.”
