“I called a few days ahead of our stay to let them Know that my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday on that day and if they could do anything special for this. They said they couldn’t as they only provide champagne for adults and they are very busy so won’t have time. I suggested maybe a small card and a few chocolates just as a welcome gesture. He sighed and seemed annoyed I had pushed the point. When we arrived I noticed the carpets in bedrooms were very obviously stained and worn out....

“We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk. “I LIKED THE BONUS OF BEING ABLE TO PARK THE CAR AT THE HOTEL. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE WERE THINGS LIKE STICKY TABLES IN THE DINING ROOM. OFFERING FRESH GRAPEFRUIT AT BREAKFAST BUT NOT PROVIDING THE PROPER CUTLERY TO EAT IT. WE HAD A BALCONY BEDROOM WHICH WE DID NOT USE BECAUSE IT WAS COVERED IN SEAGULL FEATHERS, IT WAS LIKE IT WHEN WE ARRIVED SO IS NOT PART OF THE CLEANING PROGRAMME. THE SEAGULLS FAUGHT AND ROOSTED ON THE BEDROOM ROOF. SOME SORT OF DETERRENT NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PLACE. THE STAFF WERE...

There were lots of little touches that added to our good experience-including welcome bags for each dog and more than adequate continental breakfast. We would highly recommend a d stay again.
