Vacations Close To Boscobel House and Gardens

They might be going through some growing pains from reopening, so am reluctant to leave a less than stellar review but there were a number of issues with our stay. First of all, checking in and out involved long lines and not enough desk staff working. While the staff was generally friendly, the follow up regarding issues was non-existent. I personally went to the desk about two different issues four times -was assured these issues would be taken care of - and then they just weren’t. They would take notes, jot down my room number, communicate with housekeeping - and then just nothing happened afterwards. If it wasn’t so puzzling, their lack of follow-up and resolution would almost be laughable. Otherwise, it was a nice room in a good location.

The property is older but well maintained and clean. The bed was uncomfortable, and the amenities were of lower quality than expected. On the positive side, the location was excellent and conveniently close to everything.

Property and staff was wonderful. Love where hotel is situated with easy Access to all NYC experiences.

Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect location, small but clean and comfortable room, and great price for Midtown Manhattan. This is a great option if you are cost-conscious and seeking a base of operations close to Penn Station, MSG, Broadway, etc. It's an old building so the elevators aren't the fastest, and the rooms aren't luxe, but I had a great stay. Staff was courteous, and luggage storage was secure. I'd absolutely stay here again for a short trip to see a show or sporting event.
