Staff was nice and breakfast was good. Beds are comfy. However, this property is in poor condition. In the bathroom the wood stand for the sink was peeling paint all over, tub had stains. The walls in the hallway and the doors were dirty and paint peeling. Chairs in the breakfast area were ripped with exposed stuffing. Signs stated hotel was undergoing renovations,but didn’t see any.

Work travel in a relaxed spot

I was there for business travel and needed my mom to be able to take care of my baby while I worked. We had adjoining rooms which was perfect. While it is an older hotel they are in the midst of renovations - it’s clean and friendly and the location cannot be beat in terms of putting you right into Mountain Brook village. I’m very glad we stayed here and I look forward to seeing what they do with the renovation.

This is an older property operated by Hampton Hotels. but its location provides easy access to all of Downtown Birmingham and the multitude of locations south of the city. The rooms and hotel are clean and comfortable and the staff always helpful.

Property condition was poor. Looks like it has not had a coat of paint in high traffic areas on 10 yr. Carpet was well worn. Bath had broken fixture but was clean. Bed was great!

This property is a bit worn around the edges. It seems clean and is convenient so it works. It’s a fairly utilitarian experience. 1/2 elevators were working so stairs became viable option. Cleaning signs posted throughout property during daylight hours. Can’t they clean at night? Walking from eating area to coffee area triggers the auto front door - annoying. If you are visiting in Moubtsin Brook it is convenient to where you likely want to go. Nice shopping in Mt Brook Village etc.

Only 1 plug out of 3 worked, the ceiling is cracked, drain plugs are missing, no power for phone or alarm clock. Facility downstairs was clean but as soon as we got to the room halls, it was old, outdated and there were shop fans in the hall.
