“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “It was a pleasure to stay at the White Hart. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to be helpful. We had coffees and also a lunch, whilst staying there. Both were excellent and not over-priced. The hotel is old but oozes old-world charm. There was plenty of parking and the hotel is right in the centre of town. “Toooooo hot in the room. No A/C available; only an old fan moving the hot air. Difficult to breathe. Very very little room, without table and chair to work (in my case) or to seat in a place different to the bed. I ask in reception to change my room; nothing else available. They took me a table and 1 chair, so I couldn't move in the room. Weak wi-fi line ”
