“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “It was a pleasure to stay at the White Hart. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to be helpful. We had coffees and also a lunch, whilst staying there. Both were excellent and not over-priced. The hotel is old but oozes old-world charm. There was plenty of parking and the hotel is right in the centre of town.
