Clean room, 24/7 front desk, amazing area. Would stay again!

My red flag is that they should have breakfast included with the price and not as an extra. But also there were fruit flies flying around the bread but whatever there are starving children that would be grateful otherwise. I’m a simple customer and I make the best out all my experiences. The neighborhood around is beautiful. It’s convenient that the location is midpoint between Amsterdam and Zandvoort beach. The shower was good and I slept like a newborn. Staff were sweethearts though. My only thing is that for a family of four with two kids, expect to pay 45 euro extra, that’s two buffets and two continental breakfasts. Also don’t use the toilet downstairs if you have to go number 2, it’s clogged. I would stay again if the price is right and breakfast is actually included and not extra.

Les campanules est un hôtel magnifique. Les chambres sont propres, la nourriture est délicieuse et le staff est super gentil. Après avoir passé 7 jours dans la montagne, notre séjour fut très apprécié. Merci!

The hotel is located in a very fun and walkable neighborhood loaded with restaurant options. It was also a relatively short walk to the museums and Vondelpark. And the buses picked up right in the next block. The hotel itself was fine. The rooms weren't overly large, but had everything we needed. And the receptionist on the 4th floor was friendly and helpful.

This is a difficult review to write because we LOVED our apartment! Until... The location of the apartment cannot be beat! It is in the heart of Hilversum with church bells, shops, restaurants all within a minute's walk. No cars are allowed on the Kerkstraat. The restaurant across the street has a large area of outdoor tables/chairs for meals/coffee/wine at most times of the day. It created a wonderful atmosphere of local hospitality! Problem: it is listed under "Hotels.com," but it was an Airbnb. We were told that we would have housekeeping on Wednesday if our stay was more than 7 days. We left for our day's activities on the Wednesday (we had checked in on the Saturday before), fully expecting the rooms to be cleaned and fresh linens/towels provided. This did not happen! When I contacted the management, they said, "You have to have stayed for over one week. At THAT point, the following Wednesday is when you receive housekeeping!" Ridiculous! We each had one bath towel and a hand towel to last for our 8-day stay! We asked about receiving more coffee pods, toilet paper; paper towels. The reply was that these were simply a courtesy and we were responsible for purchasing more. We had to buy these PLUS detergent since we washed our own towels. We reported that the oven in my sister's adjacent was not working. This was never addressed. So, if want to experience Hilversum at its finest, stay here. But, do NOT expect any kind of hotel experience. Very disappointing service.
