“We were walking on the south downs way,and the hotel was in prime position,,very reasonably priced and the food was delicious The staff were very helpful and pleasant,,,we had a good nights sleep Well done to all staff members 👍”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“Great overnight stay. Superior rooms are modern and spotless well worth the extra. Nice traditional pub food served in the bar. Owner was lovely and extremely helpful. Road is quite busy but noise is minimal and didn't keep us awake. Would recommend”

“Convenient accommodation and parking to attend the opera at Glyndebourne. Room comfortable, but difficult to open the windows, and there appeared to be damp in the bathroom floor below the cistern. Good selection for the help-yourself buffet breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Parking easily accessible, but very crowded on arrival at 2pm on a Friday afternoon.”

“Perfect getaway from London with the Sever Sisters a short hike away. The pub is nice and if their kitchen is closed, there’s a Thai place across where you can order take out”

“Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. My only issue was the room was quite warm until I figured out that hose on the portable air conditioner was not attached to the unit.”
