The Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque', or Blue Mosque, is a Sunni mosque located in downtown Beirut, Lebanon. Construction on the Mosque began in 2002 and was completed in 2008. The world’s most unusual war memorial. In Yarzeh, a village southeast of Beirut, I discovered this enormous conglomerated tower of real tanks, artillery pieces, mortars and armoured vehicles, sandwiched between thick layers of concrete. The 5,000-ton monument is 30 metres high and contains as many as 78 vehicles.
