“I called a few days ahead of our stay to let them Know that my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday on that day and if they could do anything special for this. They said they couldn’t as they only provide champagne for adults and they are very busy so won’t have time. I suggested maybe a small card and a few chocolates just as a welcome gesture. “We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk. “The Belfry is a unique old building with a first class modern interior. The room were very well appointed with alll the usual facilities one would expect from a high class hotel. The breakfasts were individually cooked and presented in a timely manner, with a wide and excellent selection to choose from. This was our first visit to the Belfry and it certainly won’t be our last. Jeff Winstanley”

“Really excellent hotel and well-located in the middle of Lyme Regis. Unfortunately because of the heat the pool wasn't open, but that didn't matter because the sea was clean and great to swim in. The breakfasts were excellent, and staff very friendly. Highly recommend.”

“All excellent as expected. Wonderful staff, excellent food you were really treated like an important diner. Room was great (shower a little small) huge bath though. You must book if you want parking. Pity cars and vans park outside spoils sea view from patio and restaurant.”
