“If visiting Tangkahan, the visitor should be aware that this is still a region in in it infancy of development; years behind the more developed Bukit Lawang. There is one luxury hotel being built, but besides that, temper, your expectations and the biggest choice is how much do you care about having air-conditioning versus not having it?

“The location, right next to the river was great. Hearing Gibbon calls from across the river in the mornings was priceless! The room had air conditioning which was a welcome treat. The hosts, Ramlin & Diana were superb! They took care of us in so many ways and were lots of fun to talk with.
We can't wait to go back again!”
