“We decide to stay at Molton, not York due to the relatively higher price of the York hotel and our trip plan. It proves to be a good choice. The property located in a small and quiet town with about 10-15 minutes walk to the railway station. It may look normal from outside but when you step in, you would be impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The first floor is the restaurant and a bar, with so many selections. The room was super clean and you can tell everything was so well maintained. ...

“This is the most wonderful place to stay. It is on a working farm but very close to York. Catherine was the most amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order and couldn’t be faulted. Her recommendation for food was spot on and any questions were answered. “The bedding and towels were of good quality and the room was clean however the general state of maintenance was very poor. The ensuite smelled of rot as evidenced in the state of the bath surround. The fan sounded like a jet engine. The window was almost impossible to put up or down but needed to be up to dissipate the smell of the bathroom. The hallways also smelt musty and there are lots of stairs up and down with your luggage. I would not stay here again.”
