“This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). “The Mansion House was a very pleasant place to spend our few days in South Wales. The hotel and grounds were kept beautifully and the views over the estuary are just stunning .Breakfasting and dining were of a high standard and from our experience of 5* hotels , deserving of their rating. “You have to pay for parking £5 for 24hrs then claim £2 back at the bar, this is not mentioned. Accommodation bath handles loose,peeling wallpaper gaps round window. Had to ask for a fan in heatwave which the lady on reception did find. Food standard. The fact they had delivers during the night meant little sleep as room overlooked carpark.went there 10years ago and was looking forward to returning i know wisk I had gone else where. Some staff where pleasant others not so much.”

“The Hotel has parking first come first serve very Narrow drive through alley. Does not have a dessert menu this is done by staff telling you whats on the menu it also does not have a wine list this is very limited. ”

“It is a unique property a hotel with no reception area. But the rooms were clean. The lady who cleaned the rooms was lovely. Text messages were responded to timely. We didn’t have any issues while we were there. We actually extended our stay.”
