“Hannah and Kendal were extremely helpful to us when confused with booking, Hannah rearranged everything to suit our needs, thank you Hannah. Everything from start to finish was really great and made our diamond anniversary break even more special for us. Even the weather was good so we could go out and about with no problem. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and looked after us rally well. WOULD HIGHLY Recommend staying at the Anchor Inn. Thank youfor everything.”

“Hotel location was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean but the walls are thin so you can hear adjoining TVs and voices. It's worth packing some earplugs if you like an earlyish bed time.”

“I called a few days ahead of our stay to let them Know that my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday on that day and if they could do anything special for this. They said they couldn’t as they only provide champagne for adults and they are very busy so won’t have time. I suggested maybe a small card and a few chocolates just as a welcome gesture. He sighed and seemed annoyed I had pushed the point. When we arrived I noticed the carpets in bedrooms were very obviously stained and worn out....

“Loved the short walk to shops, restaurants, museum, beach, The Red Lion is truly in the middle of everything…a great location. Having in parking on site was great, and we we happy to get a spot. The charming decor and balcony looking towards the sea was delightful, though our tight schedule only gave me about 15 minutes sitting there.”

“We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...
